Canon awarded leading position on the largest pan-Government framework
United Kingdom, Republic of Ireland, 3rd January 2017 – Canon, world leader in imaging solutions, today announces it has been awarded “supplier status” in three lots for the new Crown Commercial Service (CCS) RM3781 framework. As a result, all parts of the public sector, including wider public sector and any registered charity, can now purchase the entire range of Canon imaging products.
Through a range of evaluation criteria including price, quality and capability, Canon has been awarded a position on Lots 1, 2 and 3.
The framework has brought Multifunctional Devices (MFDs), Print Management and Records Information Management Services together under one agreement in response to the reduction in print volumes and the increasing need to digitise. By combining the requirements, customers will be able to move towards a full end-to-end information management solution, benefitting from Canon’s extensive portfolio of products, software and services.
The framework is designed to drive further cost savings and improvements in business efficiency for the entire UK public sector, supporting any public body from the smallest primary school right through to the largest government department. Whatever the level or complexity of needs, gains through streamlining activities, efficiencies in process, and effectiveness in procurement can be achieved through the framework.
Robert Pickles, Head of Corporate and Government Affairs, Canon UK & Ireland commented. “Canon has been a significant supplier to the UK public sector for over 30 years, and this latest award ensures that the company is ideally placed to develop and grow its business with public sector organisations. We’re delighted to be strengthening our continued partnership with Crown Commercial Service.”
